St Bartholomew’s

Church of England (Aided) Primary School

OFSTED

We have now published the Ofsted letter following our latest Section 8 visit on 21.02.17. The school continues to be GOOD and the report confirms that we have sustained the good quality of education within a calm and purposeful learning atmosphere

Other key points in the report show that

  • the good quality of teaching is enabling pupils to progress well across the school and make rapid progress.
  • the curriculum is thoughtfully planned to give pupils interesting topics that inspire their imaginations.
  • staff and governors have established safeguarding as a high priority., and so consequently, there is a culture of safety that permeates all aspects of the school’s work. Pupils say that they feel safe in school
  • school leaders and governors are ambitious and have created a culture in which teachers and pupils are encouraged to take risks and to try out new ideas. They have established a sense of cohesion and purpose that gives a strong direction to the school

Our latest Ofsted reports are attached below.
