Church of England (Aided) Primary School

School Houses

In our school we operate a house system. The children are proud to belong to one of four houses in the school. They are:

Canterbury – Red                              Durham – Green

Winchester – Blue                                    York – Yellow

Families and children join a house as they start at St Bart's. Each house has house captains (one girl and one boy) elected from the children in Year 6.

Throughout the year, pupils can earn house points for excellent work. There are also a range of additional events where children can gain extra points for their house. These include the Maths Challenge, regular Interhouse Sports Competitions and, of course, the traditional Sports Day.

At the end of the year the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup.
