World War 2 Workshop

The children in UKS2 had an exciting time at the WW2 workshop this week and enjoyed learning about life on the home front. Through a series of role play activities, they experienced what it was like to be evacuated and how to keep safe. They heard sirens, spent time in an Anderson shelter, learned how to make an incendiary bomb safe, put out fires by using hand pumps, carried casualties on stretchers and played with toys that would have been popular in the 1940s.
