How much does a school meal cost and what’s included?

There has long been a positive association between learning outcomes and nutrition.

School meals are FREE for all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, regardless of household income (a saving of over £480).  This entitles your child to a balanced main course, dessert, fresh bread daily and access to a salad bar.

If your child is in Year 3 or above, the cost per meal is £2.90 from September 2025.

Your child may be entitled to a Free School Meal, please speak in confidence to a member of the School Office.

Ordering and registering

Please order and make your choices through your Scopay account for each child before 8:30am every Monday for the week ahead to enable accurate numbers to be passed to the kitchen. You will be able to change meal choices, should you need to add, remove or change a future choice until 8:30am each day.

From 1st February 2026, in order to be able to book your KS2 child a school lunch, you will have to ensure that you have credit in your child’s Dinner Money account, to cover the cost of the lunches you wish to book.  You will not be able to book a lunch before crediting your account. The only exception is for those children that are eligible for a free school meal.

Please note that menus may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. Whenever possible we will endeavour to inform you in advance of such changes.
