In-School Music Lessons at St Bartholomew’s – Delivered by The Music Works
We’re excited to offer specialist instrumental tuition here at St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School, provided by award-winning local provider The Music Works – recently named Music School of the Year.
Lessons take place during the school day, right here on-site, and are open to all pupils. Your child can even try a free trial music lesson before committing — a fantastic way to explore music in a fun and supportive setting.
Each week, experienced music teachers from The Music Works come to our school to deliver engaging, small-group music lessons. These sessions nurture creativity, improve focus, and give children the chance to build real musical skills in a familiar environment.

Our Site Is Also Home to the Haslemere Music School
Outside of school hours, St Bartholomew’s becomes home to The Music Works’ Haslemere Music School — a dedicated space offering after-school lessons for children and adults of all ages from across the local area.

Who Teaches the Lessons?
All lessons are delivered by The Music Works’ professional teaching team – experienced musicians who work in schools across Surrey. Each teacher is trained to create a welcoming, structured learning environment that helps children grow in skill and confidence at their own pace.
Our Haslemere-based team specialises in working with beginners and primary-aged pupils, and is committed to making music lessons enjoyable, inclusive, and progress-driven.
